On March 13, 2017 the SERA Committee received a NERC filing proposing the adoption of NERC reliability standard CIP-003-7. In accordance with the Standards Adoption Process, SERA hereby submits Notice of Filing for the CIP-003-7 standard.

On November 30, 2016 SERA issued a Notice of Filing for adoption of NERC reliability standard CIP-002-5.1a. Responses were accepted until end of business on January 30, 2017. In accordance with the Standards Adoption Process, SERA hereby submits the Notice of Responses advising of the responses received to the Notice of Filing for adoption of CIP-002-5.1a.

On November 18, 2016 SERA issued a Notice of Filing for Retirement of NERC reliability standard BAL-004-0. Responses were accepted until end of business on January 20, 2017.
In accordance with the Standards Adoption Process, SERA hereby submits the Notice of Responses advising of the responses received to the Notice of Filing for Retirement proposing the retirement of BAL-004-0.

On January 24, 2017 the SERA Committee held its first meeting of 2017. Highlights from the meeting include:

1. Adoption of NERC Reliability Standards: The SERA Committee was presented with a decision item recommending the adoption of COM-001-3, IRO-018-1(i), PER-006-1, PRC-012-2, PRC-027-1, and TOP-010-1(i) in accordance with the Standards Adoption Process. The SERA Committee approved the recommendation.
2. Registration of Entities in Saskatchewan: The SERA Committee was presented with a decision item recommending the registration of three Saskatchewan entities on the NERC Compliance Registry. The decision item also recommended not registering two other Saskatchewan entities. The SERA Committee approved both recommendations.
3. Update on CIP Implementation: A discussion was held regarding the current status of implementation for CIP standards in Saskatchewan.
4. Update on Current Non-Conformance: The SERA committee was provided with an update on the current status of non-conformance in the province of Saskatchewan (Self-Reports, Self-Certifications, Audit Findings, Mitigation Progress, etc.).
5. Future Meeting Dates: The SERA Committee reviewed and approved the future meeting dates. The next SERA Committee meeting is scheduled for April 19, 2017, but may be adjusted to address scheduling conflicts.
